Histotripsy is a novel, non-invasive, sonic beam therapy that uses the mechanical forces created by focused ultrasound waves. Histotripsy’s unique mechanism of action results in cellular and sub- cellular destruction that occurs only within the bubble cloud, enabling highly precise treatments and avoiding damage to non-targeted tissue. View this video to understand more about the novel capabilities of HistoSonics Edison system in delivering precision histotripsy to targeted liver tissue.
